Weekend excursions

Another "normal weekend" in my busy life. Saturday, mommy got me a new bed. After I finally figured out how to maneuver myself up onto it (it's quite fluffy), I spent the next hour scratching and pushing it around the living room until I got it just how I wanted- bent in half lying in the middle of the floor, of course.

After the novelty of having a new bed wore off, I figured it was time to find something else to get into. First, while mommy took a shower, I decided to rip up the newspaper that she had so foolishly left on the floor. Then, it was my lucky day! I found a wooden chopstick in the kitchen- mommy still doesn't know how I found it mwuah ha ha- But, I chewed and chewed that up into little pieces (although, I was definitely regretting that later on when we went outside to go to the bathroom!)

After she had cleaned up from all of my activities, I think she was proud of all my hard work and strapped my leash on! We walked for a LONG 10 minutes and lo and behold! We came to a HUGE park that was covered in green stuff (mommy told me it is called "grass"). Oh it was glorious! She took off my leash and I leaped and bounded my way toward all the other dogs! One of the other humans there threw a ball, and I was the lucky one to catch it! After that... none of the other dogs came near me (mommy says it's because I growled at them, I think they're just jealous of my good looks and that I caught the ball). Well, I decided that I didn't need all those other dogs around to have a good time! So, while mommy talked on the phone, I took my ball into the corner of the park and continued to rip it apart and eat it- quite a tasty appetizer for my dinner! After such a great outing, I realized that we had to walk all the way back home. Needless to say, I was panting and exhausted by the time we made it back. Quite a long journey just to eat a ball! That pretty much was the end of me for the rest of the night. But, I did have a nice comfy bed perfectly positioned for me when we got home!
